Someone did that. My truck has the main fill tube and that one metal vent plumbed back into the tank. I do not have a vent with a rubber hose. Is that a footprint i see?

That's the fuel filler neck. Connected to the tank via a rubber hose and that bolts into the bedside pocket.

As you probably already know, I would leave it alone.

I don't have that but would say it is unnecessary so keep it capped.

I'd put something that will "breath" but not let water through, onto the end of it. Something like oiled foam? Then put that end as high as I could find a place. Somewhere like underneath the top of the bed's side railing.

I have no idea where the "stock" location is.

Hey Indebt- does it look like an factory weld, or an after thought? I ask because that could be a line that went to an auxillary tank in the bed or something. Did you get the truck new or used? My truck only has the big fill line, and the smaller vent line, both steel.

My guess would be that it was hooked up to an extra tank. I know that is very common with people who tow 5th wheels a lot. I had a friend that had an extra tank in the bed and fed into the filler neck.
