There is, but for 2022 and with Sync 4 that required Platinum or Limited trim. 2023 will now include that with Lariat and higher trims. It's connected until the subscription runs out, or you decide not to pay, then it uses the embedded (non-connected) navigation.
That`s interesting I didn`t know about that so on my 2022 Platinum it will stay connected for 3 years and then it goes to the sync3 navigation if I don`t pay for it.The sync 3 on my 2016 and 2021 worked just fine.
Got a question for a few of you, those who buy new trucks every year or three, why put up with this ****?
You vote with your wallet, and your idiot votes trickle down to us poor, dumb, lost souls at the bottom of the totem pole.
Not only is it absolutely ridiculous for you to be willing to pay a subscription fee for an item that should be included, permanently, for the $80k and up you're paying for these damn things, but you're setting the tone for the future.
By the time you lot figure out this tactic is nothing more than a disease being forced upon you, well, us peons are now buying your AIDS riddled hand-me-downs. As the 3rd or 4th owner gets to pay out the **** for the privilege of buying the vehicle, Ford will drop subscription support far before they've paid it off. That's awesome.
Enjoy your social manipulation, and fellating Chris Farley, may his career OD on coke while a hooker steals his wallet and walks out.
Vehicle manufacturers are the last ones to the subscription model game. It was nice while they held out but now it looks like in the pursuit of ever increasing profits they'll develop an app in China and market it as a subscription service for $80/mo.
I'm totally over subscriptions services.
My wife's business car was a Hyundai and it had remote start on the window sticker but they neglected to mention it requiring a Blue Link subscription. Not paying every month for a service I may or may not use. The navigation on her Hyundai still worked without a subscription though for some reason.
We owned that car for 5 years and EVERY time we would drive it a reminder would pop up on the nav screen saying "Your Blue Link subscription ran out go to www."x".com to renew" and it required you to actually click off it to get your touch screen back.
The only thing worse than subscriptions are advertisements.

That would drive me bananas. Enough so, that I'd just pull the plug on the head unit and do without, if possible, LOL
You would have no radio and no navigation so whoever was in the passenger seat would have to close the alerts whe they popped up.
I didn't say that I'd be doing so for my SD, just if I had that car, LOL
In any case, I can live without nav and radio, personally. I find myself not listening to anything at all while I'm driving, 99% time. And, I absolutely hate OEM nav's (from any manufacturer - do they *all* offshore their offerings?). So, no biggie for me.
All of you guys who say that google maps and Waze are better must live and practice acts of recreation where there is cell coverage. I just paid the $80 bux, and hated it, for a renewal on the nav. It is quite an irritant, but I knew it would be like that when I ordered a Lariat with Sync 4.
I agree, I happen to like the Waze app, I've used it in other countries like Scotland and Korea as well.
Wow. You can drive in Korea. I have rented car over two weeks at a time and have driven in Spain, Germany, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Netherlands, England, Canada, Mexico and many other countries. I also drive frequently in Manhattan NY. But in Korea, I am afraid and will not drive until I take the full driving courses at later time.
Hardest thing for me was to not knowing which lane I can drive in especially the middle bus line in Seoul. And I don't know all the signs and can't really read any of them when you are so busy looking at all around 360 degrees. I took the delivery of my Porsche Turbo S in Germany and hit 150, which was far below 205 mph top speed. But, I was afraid to drive any faster. I put the order in for 2023 F450 Limited. I currently do drive F350 DRW 6.7 Lariat and like it. I do not tow nor plan to tow in the future. I just like the big truck as I am getting older for safety.
