Touch up paint for Carbonized Grey (M7 paint code)
So I have a tiny paint nick in my new F-350….so of course I went to Ford dealer and picked up a Ford OEM paint pen for my paint code. The color match was not even close. The paint pen was basically silver vs a dark charcoal color. Has anyone with the Carbonized grey run into this and did you find a good match for touch up paint. The picture is WITH Ford paint pen touch up…you can see it is waaayyyy lighter. Thanks
.
Check out Scratches Happen, You get twice as much paint for less money and they include a brush kit. I've ordered several times from them, only one was not a match (Jeep) and they immediately refunded the money.

This is looking like the best option so far. Thanks

I really appreciate you posting that link; I purchased my truck used and there are a few scratches I'd want to touch up for a good 5-10 foot look and that's going to work so much better than a dealer acquired pen.
Okay…report since I started this thread. I returned the Ford OEM touch up paint back to my local Ford dealer. I even showed the parts guy at the dealer my truck and what a horrible match it was. He verified the paint code and agreed that it sucked.
So..I ordered fro “Scratches Happen” and it is a great color match. You get more for the same price and in a better form to do a good delicate job. Even if the paint match was the same I would rather have the bottle a variety of brushes. Scratches happen is superior to Ford OEM touch up paint by several degrees. Thanks scottz99 for the help!
