connecting rods

I disassembled my engine this week. I found that i have 3 types of connecting rods. C3AE-C, C6AE-C AND C7AE-B. Is there any problem with this? they all seem to be the same stroke. i cant find too much information on them other then they are used in a 390 and the stroke appears to be the same. are these different weights (if anyone knows it would save me money on a scale) any info on different years or in general is greatly appreciated. i have been searching but cant seem to find any real answers if they are ok to run together or if i should get a different set.

Thread moved and cleaned up.

OK so you are working on a 390 out of what?

Your con rods do not have a "stroke". Rather, length is a key measurement and I think that's what you mean.

FE engines have two rod lengths. The "long rod", at 6.538-6.542", as found in the 352 and 360 car and pickup engines. The "short" rod, at 6.486-6.490, are found in all other FE engines. The design differs in the performance 427 & 428 engines, but otherwise, they are all the same within any given revision. Since you have numbers that indicate different revisions, and different years of development, you should inspect the rods to make sure they are identical.

If they are visibly identical and you are doing a stock pickup rebuild, slap them back in there, as long as you are putting them back on the same journal. Check your bearing clearances.

For a performance build, have the engine balanced so that any difference can be eliminated.
