Vanishing coolant

No drips, no smoke.
Sinister Diesel uprated EGR cooler installed last year when coolant was found in the manifold.
Haven't vacuum or pressure tested the cooling system yet.
Bubble test results are confusing- bubbles were being produced at a period of approx 4-5 seconds until the VGT was unplugged. Bubbles paused for approx 10 seconds and then dramatically increased in frequency.

I believe I need head gaskets but am hoping for a miracle.
If you have any words of wisdom feel free, otherwise pressure test starts next week.

Being that it was a Sinister product, I would pull the EGR cooler and pressure test it (assuming you are sure it isn't an external like like a hose, water pump, or from the degas bottle).

Will do, thanks. Not surprised that it may be of suspect quality as I have a set of their CAC boots that won't stay on.

Some people like their stuff. I have not found it to be of very high quality.

Where are you observing the bubbles? In the degas bottle?

In a clear jar of water. Stopper with plastic tube in place of the cap on the degas bottle, tube runs into the water in the jar.

Found it!

Pressure tested the cooling system today and found a steady drip coming from the wye under the degas bottle. Put a pair of pliers on the spring clamp and the wye broke in two. New hose ordered. Full flush & repair on Saturday.
