Has anyone seen the 71 grille inserts that used the center moulding? I decided I was going to use my 72 grille on my 72 build because I had the inserts. I have an extra 70 grille as well but I do not have the inserts for it. Anyway, after looking more at the inserts, I noticed they looked like they were missing something. Looking at pics of other peoples inserts, my were looking different. In this forum, I havent noticed any with the center piece. Here is a pic of mine. The moulding runs across the center horizontally.
I found some pics on ebay of 71 and 72 inserts with the center moulding. The part number is D1TB-8A405-AC on the back side and a ford logo. These were on the truck when I got it even though it is a 72 f250. They are almost shaped like the hood trim across the front.
Your grille looks different. I seen pics of one on ebay that had the four slots like the 72 and had the snap on piece. All the 72 inserts I seen for sale at the usual spots did not have the trim piece and looked like your truck. I forgot to change my title after remembering mine were from a 71. The previous owner must have changed them or who knows, it could have came with them.

After looking closer at this insert, it looks like it wont go on that at all anyways. I think it is 71 only.
