Hey everyone,

Is CarPlay supposed to connect wirelessly? Every time I turn on my truck I get a message CarPlay failed to connect and I should connect with a USB.

@Deano 1 , I don't know the answer to your question, but I would "think" the Lightning would connect wirelessly. My first questions would be...

• Have you ever been able to connect CarPlay wirelessly, if so, what method did you use? Was it bluetooth or WiFi?
• Is this means of connection on and have you paired or synced the mobile device with the truck?
• Does CarPlay work if you connect via USB?

Oddly enough, I can connect to another vehicle with Sync 4 and someone else with the same iPhone can connect to my truck. It even works with a USB cable. For some reason, I just can’t connect wirelessly. Even went to the dealer and they couldn’t figure it out. Tried resetting everything and even disconnected the batteries.
