Seat swaps

Ok yall new to the form but been driving ford's most of my life but I just got a new 89 f150 xlt Lariat single cab and the seats in it are nice but I want to put a set that is still a bench but with an actual center console and cup holders. I currently have the bench seat with a fold down center arm rest but no actual center consol. What can I put in that requires no modification but will bolt right in? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Nice interior. Might be the best-preserved example I've seen. If it were my truck, I'd get a $10 generic cupholder/storage thingy and place it between the rear of the shifter boot and the front of the seat. AFAIK Ford made such an item that attached to the seat frame, but the few out there are pretty beat and NOS ones are unobtanium. You could look for pictures of it to see what to do. Basically, a lot of options that don't involve modifying the minty interior.

I believe some of the newer seats ('92-96) had an integrated console in that arm rest. Or maybe it was just the 40/20/40 seats?

Where you located at? I'm in need of a red bench in good shape.

The later OBS trucks had a 40/20/40 seat, where the center seat folds down into an armrest with cup holders. You'd need to find one from a regular cab or crew cab and it will bolt right in. They fetch a pretty penny in good shape though.

This isn't my seat, just the first thing that came up on a google search to give you an idea of what the seat looks like and the ridiculous prices people are asking for them.

I've bought trucks for less than this, don't forget to add $300 shipping. In any case, I'm sure this is a worthwhile upgrade to somebody out there. Even more so for those that daily drive their OBS truck or need a good set of seats for a restoration.

oh yeah, dont get me wrong. The worse thing is that my car has absurdly expensive buckets because most of them are split benches and the seats generally stay with their cars more than some vehicles, so its a supply issue and rarity thing. wish it werent so expensive
