Oil Pickup
All,
I'm final assembly of my refreshed 460, and I'm having troubles finding the correct oil pickup for my rear sump oil pan. I've been through 2 now, and while they're both for 460 rear sump, they sit too far down and bump into the drain plug. even with the drain plug removed, the pan still sits 3/4" off the bottom of the block. I'm not sure how far the pickup is supposed to sit off of the bottom. The truck is an '88 F-350 4x4.
Any thoughts/input from the greater/wiser/bearded ones out there?
