Hi, All
I have a 1967 F250 Camper Special I rehab'd, Put in a Ford 400 & C6, upgraded front brakes from a '79 Camper Special.
I am now trying to find Hubcaps to fit it. I am thinking that the wheels may not be the original type. They are 16" ( I have 265/70-R16's on them). The spacing between the inside cap bosses is 9", and the rear axle hubs protrude about 3-1/2". Can anyone shed any light on what I should be looking for. All the pix of camper specials I've seen show the caps with the crown on them, but they do not look like they would fit on my wheels. Mine look like they should be the so called "innies" I've seen mentioned in a few posts.
Thanks, folks
I would look for some factory Ford hubcaps from the mid 50's. They are kind of a dome shape and the word Ford is in block letters. Don't use aftermarket repop's they will not fit og Ford rims. Ford trucks in the 50'came with 16 inch rims. They will be either stainless or painted. They are what you called "innies".
Thanks for the reply.
I found what looks like the right ones in the master parts catalog, belonging on a 64-67 P100, what ever that is/was. I don't think they aredeep enough for the rear wheels, since the axle hubs stick out farther then the front.
I might have to go for some re-pops, and make them fit. Some originals I found on Ebay were over $300 for a set of 4. At that price, I'll leave the wheels naked!
You could also get some newer rims that take the outie hubcabs and then buy the caps for them. By the time you do that, it would be cheaper to buy the correct set. A set of good looking correct outie caps aren't going to be much cheaper. I know that good 15" galaxy type that are on my '66 are running $50 each, and they're more common
Some '67 F 250's came with the carryover 16" 1 piece "innie " rims as pictured in this photo and in your orginal post. They accept the smaller '67 only F 250 hubcap as shown in photo. They come up from time to time on ebay. Back ring opening on these is just under 9".
thanks tripleframe, that looks like what I have, wheel wise, and need, cap wise. Any chance someone here has a part number to go with these, so I can try to verify before I purchase?
C7TA- 1130-C for the painted hubcap ( shown) These days, $300 a set for NOS ( new old stock) or very early take off is a decent price, '67's are one year only deal. Used hubcap sets that require repainting are around the $150 range. There was a stainless version also of this hubcap which tends to hold up better over time, but, stainless or painted is subjective to your personal taste. I prefer the look of the painted cap, it looks more truckish.

There was also an "outie" version of this hubcap, and this type is far more common as they were used on 1967/77 F250/350, 1969/74 E300, 1975/77 E250/350.
There were two different versions of both types: Stainless steel with black appointments and painted argent with black appointments

Welcome back NumberDummy! I agree, most F 250's will be seen with larger "outie" caps and newer bump type 16" "outie" wheels. The early wheels and caps are another cool gossip item to add to the list of unique '67 only features. The stainless version of the early '67 F 250 cap is C7TZ-1130-D.

C7TA-1130-C was a part number C7TZ-1130-C. C7TZ1130D the stainless version Ford lists for 1967/68. And 4X2 only. No 4X4 front cap.
Ford used the small hubcap on P series (parcel vans) in '68 also , but stopped using them on F series ( pickups). For '68, all F 250's used the large ( 12" ) hubcap, both argent and stainless.
Thanks for all the replies and info, they were of tremendous help. I settled on some bottlecap style caps, I'm painting them body color with white Ford lettering.

I believe you. But there might have been some early 1968's that snuck out of the factory with innies. My Ford Microfische machine and slide shows 1967/68 F250 (4X2), type 4, 10 5/16" diameter, stamped C7TA1130D, stainless and black. Part number C7TZ1130D.

Possible, especially if someone or a fleet standardized for the previous dozen years with the carryover solid 16", 17.5" or 19.5's. New 16.5 tires were not the easiest things to find in '68. I

Assuming you found the more plentiful '61-'66 style. Some early production '67 F 250's seen in Ford publicity shots show the earlier 60's hubcap till the new '67 hubcap design ( designed to match the new '67 body style) was introduced. Hubcaps were traditionally painted argent silver to blend in with any exterior body color.
