Seems like the trans doesn’t like to be babied, if I’m getting on the highway there’s a noticeably smoother shift but it’s still rough.
hard shift into 1st and 2nd, and downshifting back into 2nd from 3rd.
did a complete flush, cleaned up the magnet, 6 out and in the pan, then hooked a hose to the trans return line to purge it And refill, It was dirty, probably hadn’t been serviced in a while.
question is, I’m seeing a lot about people changing the accumulator body or accumulator spring if it’s broken. Anyone have any luck or experience with this ?
Did this symptom happen before and after the fluid change? How long has this been an issue?
Also please let us know model year and any mods.
It’s been like that since I got the truck, sitting at about 175k now and I got it at around 150k a few years back. The fluid change did it some justice. And it’s a 01 f250 crew cab 4x4
