1982 Ford e350 Blown Brake Booster

1982 Ford e350 Cube Van 351 5.8L has a Blown Vacuum Brake Booster.
Cardone no longer makes the Brake Booster for these and all the wreckers have crushed them all over the world.
Does anyone know of another Brake Booster series that will mount up in this year e350,or any other way I can jimmy something up???

Last I knew Cardone would rebuild yours if they didn't have one. If not, they aren't the only ones out there that rebuild them.

Before I'd let Cardone touch anything of mine I intended to use I'd do a hard search for booster rebuilders somewhere online. I found a few using the search term "brake booster rebuild service".

Good luck with this!

Oh I know first hand how rude, disinterested and short with people they can be on the phone. Maybe I've just been lucky but I can't ever recall having any problems with Cardon's stuff.

Oddly enough given my past experience with their low quality products/services I've never had occasion or desire to speak to them ever---always just assumed they were completely an off-shore outfit selling stuff to cheap folks.

Well in Canada here no one would send the brake booster to Cardone, only 3 places in Canada to rebuild, one in Kellowna, one in Edmonton, and one in Ontario. They are so back ordered they can't promise I would have it rebuilt in a year I was told. I got frustrated with not even finding a rebuild kit for it. I pulled the thing open, gutted it and cleaned the ***** out of it,lots of rust on the diaphragm, cleaned it up nice dumped out the brake fluid slapped it back together, tested it on a vacuum line and it works like new.
I tossed the old master cylinder and got a new one. These parts are getting hard to source,I'm not waiting for that old one to go bad next.
Gonna source a rebuild kit for the old master cylinder so I have another back up on this 82 Ford. I only bled the front brakes, sadly the bleeder nuts on the rear drums are froze up and rusted, won't budge with 4 days of PB blaster or a day for freeze off. I ordered up new rear wheel cylinders and gonna swap them out while they are still being sold.
Looks like the emergency brake is binding up the rear drivers hub,I hear a scraping and the tire hub binds up.I put it up on jacks and the rear passenger tire spins smooth in reverse and drive, but the drivers side rear goes and then stops. Gonna have to pull the dually tires now anyway so may as well swap the cylinders.
However I serviced the Brake booster myself and got success with clean up and put back together.
