2005 E150 highly optioned---inside the driver rear frame rail near spare tire there is a 4x6 cast aluminum component with with black plastic cover and 5-wire connector--what is it?? also on the front of spare tire cross member there is a longish black plastic component mounted--what is it?? and just in front of rear bumper there is an L-bracket pointing down on the bottom of each frame rail--what are they for?? None of that stuff is on my 1997 E150. Confounded, Bill
There’s no mechanical fuel pressure regulator. Rail pressure is set by a rail pressure sensor and the pump controller. There’s no return line from the rail to the tank.
