2004 f350 problem
I have a 2004 f350 with 6.0. Several months ago I started the 6.0 it still starts good but will not get any gears. It will go into reverse and feels like it is in gear but no power to move it. It clicks like it is going into a forward gear but when fuel is applied it feels like it is hung it two gears.
The ae does not show any codes that affect the trans.
When I try to run the self test it shows koeo test failed engine in incorrect state.
I changed all the motors in the trans and it did not help so I had another trans and changed them and still the same thing. I need to add it is a 4 wheel drive.
I have also changed the computer. I am sure the engine computer also runs the trans but two with the same problem is doubtful.
Any one out there ever had a problem like this?
Thanks
Alton
Still working on it if I figure it out will post it.

Another place to check is that if you have a functional transfer case range selector isn't catching you bw gears. Then work back to the axle(s) to make sure a differential hasn't failed and is locking up.
own feeling as before, but started down the road it shifted into 2nd then the rear wheels locked up and I got the same things before backed the truck back to the house.
But the AE back on it and now I am getting some codes
P1832 transfer case differential lock up solenoid circuit failure
P1876 transfer case 2 wheel drive solenoid circuit failure.
P1865 transfer contact plate power short to ground.
I have took the wire harness the trans and removed the cover and checked each wire found no opens or shorts.
Also sometimes I can turn the key on and start the truck and the check engine light comes on and the fuel gauge does not work. turn it off and then it may or may not work.
Any one have any suggestions?
