2005 f350 auto w/tow pkg 6.0 trans is slipping like its going into neutral. doesnt do it all the time. filters and fluid were changed. read about disconecting the batteries to reset. how long and should this be the next step. no codes on scanner
drove this morning. seemed like everything was ok. drove about 15-20 miles, slowed to make a turn, came out of the turn gave it throttle and slip. then the gears engage. after-wards i noticed no overdrive gear. dont recall this happening before. while driving i put the trans to neutral. killed the motor while coasting and restarted. got overdrive back. disconnected the batteries once back to the shop to try again. still slips once and a while. didnt loose overdrive though.
its the same part. some people called it pressure some epc (electronic pressure control). asked a ford diesel mechanic. forgot to mention in the post that it was taking a long time to sift into drive first thing in the morning
