OCT NOV DEC BS THREAD
I also saw the Dodge tow truck episode; now at the end of that episode he hooks the hitch up to an old Ford pickup and starts pulling it out, so the episode you mentioned must be the next one and maybe that's the truck he was about to start on?
I did not know what shape the Barracuda was in when it was picked up other than the tire I saw in the pictures you texted.
Guess it was just the 1 tire that did not stay on the car LOL
Good you were helping as everything would be replaced if it gave any trouble other than the battery LOL
Also nice you got it running just wonder why the bolt was removed from the crank and them bolt holes?
Think Mark needs to look into a new balancer or if what he his is right.
Besides the carb rebuild and think cooling system put back together what else looks like is needed to run the motor more?
I think someone said the car has 3 on the tree and if so is the clutch rusted to the flywheel? Pretty common when they sit for a bit.
Guess the whole brake system needs to be replaced?
I have not looked at the video dose the system have a single line master?

Barracuda has manual drum brakes and I'm sure they need to be redone although Marc and Andre don't seem to be on the same page, Marc just wants to redo the original brakes and Andre wants him to upgrade to power disc brakes. Of course in theory I agree with Andre because hands-down power discs are better, yet at the same time I can't argue the point because I'm happily driving around in my Mustang with manual drums since I got the car in 1992.
Andre and Marc pulled the motor Wednesday night, they texted me pics of it laying on the floor in the garage (it was too long and heavy to go on the engine stand, not stable!). The plan is to take it apart and clean it up and do fresh gaskets, repaint the motor, and stick it back in. Andre wants to put in a new clutch and throwout bearing while it's apart. It's not a job I've ever done since everything I've had has always been automatics but it definitely makes more sense to do it now.
The car is a bench seat 3-on-the-tree and does not seem to be very common at all. In fact I think Marc said despite internet searching a few times he has not been able to find another. My guess is that someone special ordered it that way. The oddness of it has them admiring the rarity of the combination and I don't want to step on anyone's feelings, but rarity does not dictate value. You need rarity + desirability for that! But I would still keep it that way just for the cool factor, 3-on-the-tree was looked down on back in the 80's but nowadays most younger people have never seen one so it's always going to be a conversation piece.
I went thru the brake system before I got it on the road.
It stopped straight and I could lock up all 4 tires if I wanted to.
So I dont see any reason to swap in power disc so I am with Marc.
I will have to reach out to them as I have a motor stand they can use for the motor to get it off the ground.
I will give a look in day light as I got 2 or 3.
I think the 3 on the tree and bench seat is cool.
The 68 Dodge van I learned to drive in and drove had a 225 six & 3 on the tree.
I also had a 65 full size Chevy wagon with a 250 six and 3 on the tree & what was left of a bench seat.
I thought it strange a full size car no less a wagon had a standard transmission but was a cool car.

Think the one I used for my 300 is handy to get to.
Yes replace clutch assy when there.
I did on mine and the old assy. still looked good but there was no way I wanted to mess with that big heavy truck transmission if I did not have to.
Turned out I had to swap out the transmission for a good one so added the over drive then LOL
