Took my 2020 truck through a car wash and the cleaner ripped my antenna mount off. They are going to fix it and said it was a easy. But the dealer said the mount (Ford Part #HC3Z-18A984-A) said the antenna wire and mount is one unit and it all needs to be replaced. You have to take part of the dash apart and fender area. All in all a 2 hour job.
I came across this YouTube video. Has anyone tried this before?
I would get the part and do as the video says. No way I would let the dealer have my truck and unnecessarily pull interior parts just to do that repair.

I like my local car wash... after I take off both antennas and fold in the mirrors. I even pull the stubby antenna off my wife's Escape. I'm surprised the car wash attendant didn't remove it for you.
