Have an 02 7.3 and it just had uvch replaced on drivers side, ice sensor replaced, and crank case sensor replaced but when I turn the key on it has check engine light on that will stay on for roughly 90 seconds and then it will do a weird idle and go away my mechanic said he couldn’t clear the code was wondering if anyone had similar issue
It was the p1280 code which should have been an old code from when he changed the uvch.
The P1280 is an ICP code, if your mechanic did not replace it with an OEM sensor, that may be your problem, the other problem may be the pigtail at the sensor. If the old sensor was oil soaked and he didn't clean the connector really well, it could be giving false readings. Either you or your mechanic, need to go back over the work that was done and recheck sensors and associated wiring. Here maybe the video will help you.
if the code was present before the ICP plug was removed it was more than likely already in limp mode, and there would be no change after removing the plug. Only way to see if the ICP is working is to check with torqur pro pr some other scanner when running.
