Trailer TPMS Module - Mounting Location?

Good morning all,

Purchased the OEM trailer camera / tpms kit online from Fairway Ford a couple weeks ago. Nate was awesome to work with and I was able to apply all of my Ford Pass points towards the purchase. Started the install over the weekend and just about have it completed. Our travel trailer is 32' long (rear bumper to tongue). I'd like to mount the trailer TPMS module in the front pass-through area. I have an access panel in the floor that would allow me to mount it on one of the frame crossmembers. This is about 13' forward of the first axle. The instructions don't really mention a range of how far the module will pick up the sensors, but recommends the module be mounted on the frame in the tongue area.

I feel like my distance will be ok but wanted to see if anyone else here used the pass through area for a mounting location?

I have my TPMS module mounted on the back of the toolbox of my gooseneck equipment trailer. It's about 15' from the closest axle and the TPMS system works fine. You should be fine with your proposed setup.

As long as you don't block the antenna from the wheels, you can mount it anywhere. It needs a clear line of sight to the wheels, so if you mount it to a cross member, either mount it on the back side of it, or mount it so the little nub for the antenna is sticking down past it.

Mine is in the front compartment of my 5th wheel, no issues at all.

Mine is on the backside of the crossmember right in front of the first axle. The closer the better in my mind. It worked out well for my trailer.
