Help with engine codes P24A0 P22A7
Hi,
check engine light came and I read the following codes
07E8 Eng
P24A0
P22A7
7E9. A/T with no subcodes
Does someone know what they are and what I should do next?

Year, engine, trans would help, but the codes are for your CATS, Sensors, Particulate regen, the 7E8 and 7E9 are generic codes or codes that your reader cannot access to different control modules.
I'm sure some of the more experienced guys will come along soon to help answer your questions.

Well, since you have DPF codes we can narrow down the engine choices to a 6.4L or a 6.7L Power Stroke.
Not sure what has been done to this engine, but the DPF and associated equipment aren't very happy.

The day before the check engine light came on we were doing a drive around the island not going over 25 mph, the truck went into regeneration during this drive. Unfortunately I have not been able to drive the truck over that speed the past month. The day the engine light came on we were heading out doing 35 to 50 mph for and hour, the same on the way back.
I had this happen a few times when we were in Florida, I was able to do 3 drives over 50 and the check engine light went out. I didn't have the scanner back then so I don't know what those codes would be.

Just search and you can find these also. You need to have a better code reader to get all the codes off the ECM.
