Purchased my 2019 F250 platinum ultimate 4/19. Had some leakage (1 battery) that caused some corrosion on the tie down. Took it to the dealer 2/22 with 28k on the odo and showed them the issue.
They agreed to replace the battery and tie down. Then I reminded them they needed to be replaced in pairs.
Picked up 2 hours later with new tie downs and 2 brand new batteries at a total cost to me of $0.
If this is a temporary fix till you get paid in a couple of weeks, maybe. Cold season is coming so it might be a good idea to do it sooner rather than later. More than that, I would not want to risk acid being blown around the entire engine bay.

I had the same thing done. 2 new batteries just before the 3yr bumper to bumper warranty was up. Now, about 10 months after they were replaced they’re leaking again. Found out the warranty on the replacements ended when my truck passed the 3-year service date. The new batteries don’t come with their own warranty. 🤬
Does anyone know if the Group 65 850CCA Interstate batteries carried by Costco are any good?
I have been using the group 65 batteries from Costco for my 2001 Ex PSD. Costco now carries Interstate batteries. No more Costco branded batteries.
They do not leak or sulfate, but lifespan is about the same as their warranty. 3 years full replacement. No questions asked or testing needed for warranty replacement. You don't even need your receipt of purchase. Costco has all the information in their computer, and it is linked to your Costco card.
FYI I have had many sets of batteries from Costco. Always have failed just before 3 years, so the 2nd set is free. I have also bought a set from Ford. They are no better and probably worse. I would not go this direction.
Not sure if above links work so just check the Costco site. If not a Costco member, Project Farm Youtube channel likes Walmart batteries as a low cost and good battery.
Note: The standard battery seems to always be in stock. When I needed 2 new batteries last time, the AGM needed to be ordered in advance or I would have gone that direction.
You will also note that the factory warranty for today's batteries is usually only 3 years. In the good old days the warranties were much longer but prorated. Interstate batteries sold through Costco are not prorated. Full replacement NC
This is because lead acid batteries use recycled lead. In theory the AGM batteries last longer due to the use of virgin lead.
If I had a new Superduty I would go AGM. Good clean power is the key to longer lasting computer equipment. And the terminal connections Ford provides seem cheap and no leaking is important.
I would just replace the batteries. I'm not sure how cold it gets there, but I would not want to go through a NE Wisconsin winter with a marginal set of batteries.
My 21' has been sitting a couple of months now. Yesterday I looked under the hood before starting it up and found one of the batteries has corrosion built up under its holder. It appears it was over-tightened when it was installed. I started looking for 2 new replacement batteries this morning, preferably AGM's. I just read that I need to go threw ForScan to change the Batteries from Flooded to AGM after replacing them. Apparently the Batteries have different charge rates. Nothings simple anymore ..

I tried this and the dealer lead me to believe I would get a battery replacement, after it rolled out of the shop I popped the hood and found they just cleaned the batteries and replaced the hold down.......pissed I wasted my time.
