Bigger Tires or Level kit

I have a 2020 F-150 SuperCrew and was hoping to gather some information. I was hoping to get bigger tires on my truck to give it a more aggressive, higher off the ground look. Nothing crazy, but a tad bit more clearance. I currently have 20" tires (pic below).

I tow a lot and was thinking of maybe putting in a level kit, but if I am able to get bigger tires, will that lift the truck some? does anyone know how big of tires I could get in terms of tires with no level or lift kit? As I mentioned, I do tow a lot so don't want anything too big or too loud in terms of the tires.

Or should I just get a level kit? My truck has the front rake now, but I'm worried if i put in a level kit, it will make the front end bow down. This is all new to me, and honestly have no idea what I'm doing, so I was hoping that I could get some information from you all. What would a good level kit even cost me?

I did both level and taller wrangler AT tires on my 2011. Level kit for my new 2019 just arrived today. Will be doing same thing. Towed with level and bigger tires and was great imo.

Put a leveling kit on your truck with bigger tires. I tow too—so I added a fox kit and larger blocks so that I the truck would still tow without being nose up. Tire size is 295/65r20s. They are Firestone and pretty much are horrible.

Do you have a level kit that you suggest? And may I ask what it costs for a good level kit?

I used Rough Country 2" level on my 2011 and that's what I ordered for my 19. If installed on your own like I am, only cost me $49. If installed at a shop, probably $1-200 depending on what they charge for labor.

I was happy with 33" tires (275/60R20) and just a 1" level kit for the front.
To me, it looked a lot better and it also looked like it should have come stock...I didn't want it to look 'lifted'...just better to me.
MPG's dropped by about two points on the highway, mostly from the larger tires. That may or may not be a care to you.
Otherwise, it still feels like it rides just like when it was purely stock.
You may be looking for a more dramatic change, where I wanted a subtle change.

just looking at the picture you provided, i see minimal to no rake as-is.. but maybe it's just the camera angle. i had seemingly much more rake to mine stock, and towing alot myself i went with a 2" coil spacer. it sags just a touch loaded down, but not so much that my headlights are in the trees.

without seeing a shot of yours straight on from the side, i wouldn't go over 1" in your case. again, maybe it's just the angle, but your rear looks lower than most to me.

The truck in the picture above looks like it's much lower than a stock 4x4. Did someone remove the rear blocks?

One thing to consider is that you will have to spend at least $1200 for new tires, plus the cost of the leveling/lift kit (and install). I just put 2 stock tires on my 20 F150 and it was $569 out the door at the local Sam's Club.🤑

I hope this isn't a dumb question, but if I do a level kit, will I need to purchase new tires? Or will the stock tires work?

Bigger tires might require a level kit (for clearance, if nothing else), but the reverse is not exactly true. Your stock tires will "work", but they may appear too small once the wheel wells become "larger" (so to speak).

^^^THIS^^^

You don't have to change the tires, but if you lift the truck it would probably look goofy with stock tires, even if you had the bigger Lariat wheels.

The truck in the photo looks to be lowered. If that is really how the truck sits you'd need to lift both the front and rear.
