So I have idm codes. I do a buzz test to retrieve and all of the injectors except number 7 come back with high to low open codes. When the truck is running it runs okay. Kinda sputters a couple times on rev up. The SES light will come and go intermittently when driving.
I have checked from the idm connector all the way through and found good resistance values all injectors reading about 3.3 ohms. Checked for continuity to ground and found no problems there.
read in another thread about the screens in the tank potentially causing these codes. Pull and replaced and still have same problems.
I did put in a set of reman injectors. And have tried another idm. And new under valve cover harnesses. I have had the covers on and off this truck about 4 times now checking everything from oil out the spouts to valve movement. and I am totally stumped
So any ideas? Is there some weird wiring thing I might be missing? I have codes for all but one injector. Bad reman injectors? Just at a loss.
Are there any other codes retrieved after the intermittent cel flashes? What scan device are you using? Have you done a CCT test for comparison? Personally I trust that test less than the weather man, but occasionally it can serve a purpose. How about the rest of the electrical harness, have you checked the usual suspects?
What does kinda sputters when revving mean? When you clear the codes how long does it take for them to come back? No other codes at all? Even totally unrelated codes may serve as a bread crumb.
