OEM Bed Mat Sufficient?
I already have the OEM bed mat and am waiting for my slide in to be delivered soon for my F350. It's a relatively light camper (Scout Kenai, probably around 2000lbs loaded up). I think it certainly is fine to prevent sliding, but do you think it is thick enough to provide some padding for the camper? I think the OEM bed mat is about 3/8" thick.

So about the same thickness as a Dee Zee which is a popular aftermarket choice., so as long as you are talking mat and not bed liner you should be fine. Question is will it clear the cab, which is an ongoing issue with Super Duties.

We're on year 3.5 with our Dee Zee. Custom fit and wonderful endurance. 5000# of camer sitting on it and when taken off, no evidence it was there.
If I had any one complaint at all it would be that it still smells like new.... especially on hot sunny days when the camper is off and it is exposed to the hot sun.
