I wonder if a dually bed is ideal..

Looking at the flat bed on the new truck - it looks like I could almost build a house on it!

I wonder what sort of camper it could carry....

I really liked the flat bed my truck had - It was 9ft 6 inches by 8 ft 4 inches, so you could put a sheet of plywood on it cross wise. A very useful bed - I toyed with the idea of building a camper on it, but figured it would ride too high, I had not thought of a pop up arrangement, like my new toy has. Maybe if you found one, and attached it to the bed, you could build storage lockers surrounding it, to cover the bit up that usually sits in the bed. Attaching it is not difficult - just strap it to your rub rail. Had I still have had a flat bed on my truck, I would have put this camper on it and had fun. As it is, I will have just as much fun with it in the new bed.

I had shore patrol last night, and saw a whole flock of dually F250 and F350 trucks of all years and configurations.

It tends to make the "IDEA WORKS" go into production - I can hear the wheels turning in my mind, I wonder what the results will be...

It isn't really that hard to build campers from scratch, with the right tools and some reasonable equipment suppliers.
