Headlights don't work!

I had a headlight burn out so I bought new ones and replaced them. Everything worked. 2007 F150XL.
Took a long trip ans getting home in the dark I noticed my brights weren't going on and off as they should. But I found a way to drive and as I was pulling into my driveway I noticed that one of the dims wasn't working. Next time I drove the truck at night none of my headlights worked. The amber "parking lights" worked, as did the emergency flashers, but no headlights at all. So I bought a new multifunction switch and replaced it just this afternoon. Wipers, turn signals, everything works. So I turned on the headlights and flipped the lever for brights, the blue indicator came on, but going outside I saw no brights. So I turned to dims, looked outside, no dims. So I have a new multifunction switch that everything works, but no headlights either brights or dims.
Help! Where do I look next? I'm going to start at the front of the truck and make sure the new headlamp bulbs are still working, then I guess fuses, but what is after that?
This is an XL truck which means no power windows or locks and no automatic headlights.

Thanks in advance,
R.

I would check the connector plugs. They’re 15 years old and like to warp just enough, albeit rather unnoticeably, to lose contact with the bulb contacts and you end up here.

Had to splice a new connector on my ‘03 a few years back. I chased a few parts before I just wiggled the plug to the driver’s side light and “voila!” it came back to life.

Here's the answer! Hint...it's simple

It's taken me a while to wrap up this story, life got in the way. With headlights not working, I started at the front of the truck. Pulled right headlight, pulled the bulb - bulb was destroyed. It had shattered. Checked voltage to headlight, that was good. So I pulled the other headlight, that one had failed internally, it turned all white inside the glass. Replaced bulbs with my two new bulbs and voila! Headlights work again!
I had bought the original replacement bulbs from Rockauto. They were Hella HP2.0. I am working with Rockauto for a refund, as they don't have these bulbs in their online catalog any more. I am disappointed, in my mind Hella is a top-line lighting company. Either they made a batch of bad bulbs or I got counterfeits. I'll never know.

Anyway, the mystery is solved. Reminds me of what a mechanic told me recently: New means Never Ever Works!

Hella isn't what they used to be. Maybe their top-tier line is good, but their lower-tier quality flat sucks now.
