so i am looking for a tilt, column shift column. i am wondering when people suggest lengths 30" or 31" (i believe for this truck )- are these total lengths with the wheel adapter or just column lengths without the wheel adapter?
websites give a column length of 30" (for instance) that is the column only, then the wheel adapter adds 2-1/4" which makes the OVERALL length 32-1/4"
I'd say the question doesn't have that simple of an answer. There's a lot of variables involved. Others may chime in with their unique experiences and what parts they used. But your physical size, the seat you're using, the dish of the steering wheel and the depth of the adapter that goes with it, which steering box you're connecting to, and at what angle is that connection, all plays a factor in steering column length. Everyone's build is unique and you'll want to do the research to make sure yours fits you best.
