Looking for driver seat cover myself. Just looking for something I can throw on when my clothes are dirty. WHY in the world Fords only option for cloth seats in an XLT is light grey is beyond me. Would be nice to find a cover for the fold down console too.
How we’ll do the Aries covers fit? Do they pack down to a small size that’s easy to stow?
They Fold Right Up...And I Store Them Under the Rear Seat..There Great..!!
The Aries cover is nice and “beefy” feeling. It fits more formed over the headrest and covers the seating surfaces well. It has a rubber backing that holds it in place really well. I only tested it out in the driveway but it didn’t shift around getting in and out.
The Smile Turtle cover doesn’t fit as formed over the headrest as the Aries does. It feels more pliable, like a thick bath towel. It has an elastic strap that goes over the seat back to hold it in place, and an elastic strap with a hook on the end that can be tucked up under the front edge of the seat (tho I’ve not used it).
The cover is wider than the Aries and covers more of the sides and front of the seat and can be tucked down between the right edge of the seat and center jump seat. it has a rubber backing that doesn’t feel as beefy as the Aries, but has nubs on it that hold it in place really well.
Both covers folded. The Aries (on left) prob wouldn’t fold or compress much smaller than shown. The Smile Turtle (on right) could fold in half once more, or be compressed maybe by half that shown, it puffs back up before I could take the pic.
Both are nice covers and had I only ordered either one alone, I’d have been perfectly satisfied. Having them both in hand to try out, I’ll be keeping the Smile Turtle and returning the Aries. The ST cover just fits the use case better to what I was looking for.
The console lid cover mentioned in my previous post can be seen in the pics above. Its neoprene, fits good and feels good on the arm. You can work the console lid latch thru the cover easily. It seems a shade darker than the seats (it’s grey) than I’d like, but not bad. I ordered the light grey version today and will keep the one that matches the best and return the other.
Same boat...I wanted something cheap to keep the work grime off the cloth til I figured out what direction I wanted to go. I went with these Cat covers from Amazon $35ish. I wasn't expecting much but pleasantly surprised with fit and they don't move around. Eventually I'll get that console cover too.
