Blower Motor Wiring

Below are a couple of pics of my heater blower motor. The wiring is in very poor shape. I have never taken one apart and don’t want to start pulling things apart and find I can’t get them back together.

Can I just replace the wiring? Can I just remove the 2 screws on the back of the motor to get to the wires?

Thanks!

I haven’t tested it with that ugly wiring. There is a electric motor place I can take it to but if it was an easy fix why pay someone else to do to it.

The internal wiring is simple enough. Open up the case and take a look.

If you want to test it before pulling it apart, slide a piece of heat-shrink tubing over the ugly wire. Push it all they way into the motor housing.

If that's the ground wire it doesn't really matter if it touches the housing anyway.
