Did a quick thread search and did not see any about power door locks. My 01' F250 door locks do not always work with the key fob. I see them try but they don't always engage, seems to be more often when the climate is cooler, I think. Has anyone had the issue and what was the fix. I was thinking of pulling the door panels and lubing things up but before I start in I thought I would see what the experts say.
I had that same problem on a 2001 Other Brand truck. I tracked when the locks worked and didn't work for about two weeks and finally figured out it was the battery. My problem also seemed worse when it was cooler, like first thing in the morning. The battery was strong enough to start and run everything without showing any signs of failure, but the power locks weren't getting enough juice for them to work consistently. It was really weird but as soon as I replaced the battery a few months later the door lock problem was cured.
