I have a 2001 E250 dedicated CNG van. Several months ago the high pressure fuel injection regulator failed and started leaking fuel and water. I have had no success in finding the replacement part for the vehicle, The part number on the regulator is YC2E-9C968-AA. I found an old ebay ad listing one that showed the box with a Motorcraft number of CM-4961. That number doesn't yield any results either. Does anyone know of a replacement?
I'd contact the dealeship with your VIN to check whether the part is still available. We've not seen too many CNG vehicles in this sub-forum but maybe another member has some knowledge or experience.
Like JWA said. But also ask them if there are any interchange part numbers. I have seen 2 or 3 different Ford CNG regulators with slightly different part numbers. Often times one will be a direct interchange. Another thing to do is ask if there are any other part numbers that preceded the current one. If you can get several numbers then it will give you many more options in a search for your part,
