So my truck is sputtering and hesitating when I go half throttle or more and when I brought it to a shop they said that the piston was making contact with the spark plug on all 6 cylinders. (I’m not sure if they actually are or not). Does anyone have any ideas of what it could be. Also if you need more information let me know. Thank you for your time.
There has been like 6 different sets or spark plugs they said they were all doing the same. I’m going to get a set of motor craft ones from a ford dealership and put them in myself and see what that does.

I also have just now realized after messing with it it only misses under heavy acceleration if i easy into it it revs up perfectly fine
The 1995 4.9 has "D" dish pistons.
There is no way the top of the pistons come anywhere close to the spark plugs.
Take a spark plug out, bring the piston to TDC, look into the cylinder and see for yourself.
Is the spark plug gap being smashed closed?
This problem usually indicates a bad Ignition Control Module (ICM).
The ICM sits on a heat sink on the fender well back by the driver's side fire wall.
I would say when the plugs are out and you look them over to see if the gap is closed or not to also do a compression test.
Also pmuller how do you know what year he is talking about as I dont see it listed?
So how bout the year and how may miles on the motor.
When was the last time a tune up was done?
Cap & rotor, plugs & wires, air / fuel / breather & PCV
And to make it really happy a oil & filter change.

I tried a different icm that I had but that didn’t change anything. my stepdad says he was at the shop and he saw them put in the spark plugs, fire it up, then it would smash them down but not all the way only enough to where you could only tell when they regapped them.

it’s a 1995 Ford F-150, 180,000 miles. The rotor and distributor are about two years old, the cap and wires are about 3 months, I cleaned the injectors a while back but idk how well I did, the air filter isn’t terribly old, the fuel filter is less than a year old, I’m unsure about the pcv and breather.
I can't see the plug gap closing unless someone installed the wrong plugs.
Nothing fancy just good old copper plugs is all it needs.
There have been posts of people using the newer plugs in older ignition systems and having issues could that be you also with newer type plugs?

i think possibly, today I’m going to the ford dealership to get the true motor craft oe copper ones and I’ll see from that point forward.
Here is the autolite plug his engine needs stock 1995 OP, does your plug cross to that number? and does your plug look like the left one? Your head rusty? My threads were rusted and not threading nicely and my plugs werent sealing and they would rattle loose!!! I used wire drill attachment, carb spray, and then towels to clean up the seat. I chased the threads with tool

i got 5 out of the 6 motorcraft spark plugs, its still missing and cutting out but i was actually able to get up to 60 mph. Im going to get a 6th motocraft and see if that does anything. it only sees to be mising/cutting out under heavy acceleleration. if i ease into it it dosent do it and it seems to want to do it more around 30 mph vs any other speed.

you did not in anyway answer what I sent LOL
Show us your wiring, distributor cap etc, show that
Being it is a 95 with EFI it has a computer.
I think you said it looked good inside but have you tried to pull codes from it?
It can tell you what is going on that it dosenot like.
