Cooling system check

I tried searching with a couple of variations for the same question to no avail. I have rented two different cooling system pressure testers, one from Autozone and one from O'Reilly's. Neither of them have the correct size radiator fitting for our trucks. Anyone have one they have used before? I have added coolant to cooling system, but I wanted to add some pressure to system to check for potential leaks before firing up the engine for it's first run. Thanks.

I would assume they’re designed for the tiny little radiators (and filler necks) that are in the more modern cars. I have a Snap-on unit that has adapters for different neck sizes....however, you’re a long ways from me. Try a radiator shop or older mechanic who services old stuff like ours and see if they’ll let you borrow one.

I have a Stant ST270. It fits the old school radiators and caps. I just used it a couple of hours ago to find a slow drip, it was the hose between the water pump and intake.

it’s still available but at $95 it may not make sense for a one time use.
