I just got thinking (always frightening ) after spending a bunch of bucks for Ford orange coolant to do the secondary cooling system. Why? This secondary cooling system does not interface with the engine unless there is a catastrophic component failure or even the primary cooling system so why spend $30+/gallon for their gold plated Motorcraft stuff when the green $10/gallon will work just as well for that system.
I understand the reasoning for orange in the primary system though not sure chemically that it's really valid but am using it there.
