never a dull moment. we dont need to do crossword puzzles to keep our minds sharp...just surviving owning one of these trucks is enough.
sometimes when I turn and stop , I hear water sloshing around on pax side. pull ul the rug and investigate..nothing there...pull drain plugs..nothing.
reaserch this and learn......
a. the infamous AC drain tube that sticks out into the fender well is horizontal.....a genius discovered it needs an elbo to point down...else..water rolls back into the cabin area
or
b. there is a vent behind the rear seats about in line with driver and rear pax....the vent sometimes pops out or was never installed correctly....poping the vent cover in fixes it.
or
c. it has been discovered that some trucks were assembled with out the roof drain being connected or some catch device not installed so the water that is supposed to go into the roof drain system never does.
or
d. you have electric rear sliding windows...the seals on the outside of the slding glass wear out and/or get deformed....when it rains, wter rolls down the back of the cab and goes into the rear body wall. now your doomed...this water stays in between the outer and inner layers and has no place to go....sloshes around and sends you on never find it hunts becuase ints in beteen the body layers....god only knows what happens as this trapped water expands and freezes.
yeah. Good video. I’ve watched his videos before and they’re good. I have the part on order. The carpet is so soaked that I cut out the nasty parts. I’ll have to piece together a replacement but don’t want to replace the entire carpet. Way too much messing around🤪
His videos are good sometimes, lacking details sometimes. For the elbow you should/maybe be able to get it done without fender liner removal.

Have you figured out the source of the water sloshing sound?
Dealer spent 6 months looking for my leak and could not find it. So after getting fed up with wet drivers side floor I took up the carpet and found that the plastic plugs under the carpet in the floorboard were leaking. I pulled them out and resealed, and have had dry floors since.

It reminds me of a 1983 Jeep Cherokee we bought new. Carpet in the back seat kept getting soaked when it rained. Dealership was pretty worthless. I pulled the carpet up and saw daylight in a gap where several body panels met (right in front of a wheel well). I then went on a search and destroy mission to find other, similar spots. In the end I used an entire tube of caulk fixing these spots. No more water intrusion.
Yup. It’s the A/C condensate. With carpet removed I took the truck for a spin with the A/C running full blast and confirmed where it’s coming from. Part on order from Amazon.
This would be my first suspicion since you are seeing it on the passenger side, and there is that known TSB posted above.
I purchased the elbow that's used in the TSB just in case I experience that problem.
Update: I installed the elbow today per the TSB but took an additional step: sealed the junction and the through hole in the firewall with RTV. I saw a YouTube video saying the TSB doesn’t always fix the problem because of a ridge on the drain pipe causes the elbow to not seal completely. I’m in the process of testing it out & running the A/C full blast whether I need it or not, but I feel confident about this fix.
