Stake Pocket Design
I'm not sure that this topic is specific to 2017+, but here goes.
What is the "correct" size of lumber/whatever to use in the stake pockets? I pulled the plastic covers off mine to put something in the stake pockets to provide extra security for panels that are sitting on the bed rails. The closest lumber I had was 2"x3" and even that required some trimming.
Why do the front and rear stake pockets have holes on the inside of bed, but the middle stake pockets have no hole? I drilled a small hole in the middle pockets so I could put a screw into the wood to hold it down.
I think this is the first time I've ever used a stake pocket on the four pickup trucks that I've owned.
