Had a engine fire won't bore you with the details, the short of it is I find myself needing a good 5.8l fuel rail. Living in Mi. nothing around here anymore in the bone yards.
I did start at marketplace here in the forums, no luck. So I was hoping posting here someone living south of me might have one from a truck they parted out I could buy at a fair price. Everything here now days, if isn't on the road, they went to the crusher long ago. And or the metal sections are rusted to the point it would be useless anyway.
Might know the last good one I had, that fire burnt the plastic tubing sections out before we could kill the flames.
Thinking of using high pressure fuel line to repair it but wanted to try here first for a complete unit.
car-part.com is usually a good source for online boneyard search.
LKQ is another nationwide auto dismantler that can come in handy.
I've had good experiences with Mr. R's Auto Salvage out of Wyoming, myself, even with having to ship stuff.
There are online salvage yards that have a national data base that can get it for you. Google "online auto parts salvage yards".
Yeah thank you but I tried that, 90 bucks plus 55 shipping and I get one off of a truck in new jersey, and while talking to a guy that hardly speaks English
Doubt I'd get one that wasn't a rusty crusty if I got a fuel rail to start with!
7 to 10 days and oh sure I can send it back if not the right part or all rusty, "no restocking fee" trying to avoid an endless loop of returning until I get one worth keeping. Return shipping on my dine of course.
Would not mind any of that if I felt I'll get the right part that is usable from the get go. I had to explain to them what a fuel rail was and still not sure he knows what part I want.
If you or anyone could recommend a place to contact, I'd appreciate it.
The 2 places I tried equate to pretty much same end result so I came here.
I work 12's the next couple of days. I think I have one or two kicking about the place here. Have to do some digging about and see if I can find one, and make sure it's good. Unless you find a killer deal on one, hold off buying one for big money till Tuesday. I will try to check Sunday evening or Monday. Might take some digging around. I'll get in touch weather or not I can find something.

Great and no rush, for now I replaced the cross over tubes with high pressure rubber fuel line and clamps. I would rather have a factory replacement though if you can dig one up.
Not sure what you might have but would also be interested in a non A/C heater box for the firewall. A/C version would work too if came to it.
Learned my lesson, trucks/vehicles going forward will have a fire extinguisher in them at all times. Dang near lost the truck, a garden hose just made it to it saving the day...not to mention the truck!
Thanks for taking the time to read my post, reply and taking the time to look see what you might have.
