MIne's a 2021 F250 with two batteries (6.2, not a 6.7) but it has the snow plow package so maybe that's why it has the double battery set up.
It sits for a couple weeks before I get the notification that it's gone into deep sleep mode. Sometimes I let it keep sitting there in the carport and sometimes I 'll drive it instead of the car to "wake it up" again.
Batteries really lasting only 3 or 4 years? That's crazy. I just (last December) replaced the battery in my Coupe that was 7&1/2 years old. My 2015 car has the original battery in it. What is wrong with the charging/monitoring system in these trucks that require battery changing so soon?
If it sits for too long and a cell drops below a certain voltage for too long, it eventually dies. Thats what happened to a couple batteries I had in vehicles that sat for months without starting. There is more and more parasitic draw in cars and trucks these days and they can quickly drain a battery if not disconnected. My F-150 sat for months in 2020, not being driven and eventually the AGM pooped out. I was able to keep it going for a year but it finally bit the dust and wouldn't hold a charge for more than a day. My 2002 Kubota B2410 has zero parasitic draw, that battery lasted about 18 years before I had to replace it. Want it to last, fully charge it and disconnect it. We have a 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis that would eat batteries because of the auto leveling and other keep alives, so after replacing the battery 3 times, I put a disconnect on the ground terminal. Going on 4 years now with a fully charged battery, starts every time.
It's a known issue with 22 trucks built after June. Ford is working on a software fix that is supposed to be available in October
Yes, mine for sure has no battery related problem. The software fix will be ( We will just overwrite that feature). If the part isn't in the truck that relays that info I see no other way around it. Much easier to do that then recall those trucks back in to install monitor part later.

They aren't talking about trucks that are sitting. If you read the responses above, you'll see that it happens daily, as soon as the truck is locked, etc....
That's not a battery issue. It's a software issue.

No argument there, never said it was, just passing information on about how batteries should be charged and the downside of the BSM on these cars and trucks. Someone mentioned they maintain it at 85% and I explained the reason why. This isn't the first time the BSM had software issues, happened back with the 2014 F-150 models too. The MFT would go into sleep mode when you shut the truck off, even though the battery was fully charged. Software update corrected it. Someone else confirmed the 22 models have this same issue. Schiznit happens.
My app doesn't give me any notification about deep sleep but my 2022 built in April after locking it and walking away if I bring the app up with full cell service it won't remote start my truck it just acts like its loading. Same with door locks it just loads and loads and loads. I have to close FordPass on my phone multiple times retrying the remote start or door locks and it will eventually work.
I've also had the app act like it didn't start my truck and when I get to the truck it is running from remote start.
My solution is not using Ford Pass for anything and just using my key fob to remote start the truck and if it doesn't work whatever I guess. That's the price we have to pay for Ford trying to fit in with their own App. I think the app causes more issues than it solves.
*Edit* I just opened the app and the dealer I bought the truck from added a service to my truck in the app 1,000 miles and 2 weeks ago. I'm over 4,000 miles away from that dealership and haven't spoke to them since buying the truck. It says the mileage and "Multiple Service" under Service Performed.

This...
After 2 days of the mothership monitoring my life, unchecked all those allow boxes, life is still good
Lost the ability to remote start truck from from a 1,000 mile away (oh well)
Thanks for posting. Good to know they are working on a fix. What sucks is I have to wait 2 months for this fix and some folks probably a lot longer than that. Yesterday, my Ford Pass worked immediately after I shut the truck off even though I received a message that it had been disabled. 10 mins later, not working. Hopefully the SW upgrade will fix it. Very frustrating.....
So I received an alert on my App today. This is what it said:
Congrats on the purchase of your 2022 Ford Super Duty® truck. We wanted to give you a heads-up that a few FordPass®App features are not yet available for your ride. They include remote start,* lock, unlock and Ford Power-Up software updates - our advanced over-the-air (OTA) technology. We're working diligently to bring these to you. Stay tuned, and we'll let you know just as soon as they are available.
So, it "looks" like they are working on something. I have been able to use the unlock/lock/remote start. But that has to be right after I drive it. Weird.
