Tow Mirror Wiring: Color Codes, Connector Part Numbers, Diagrams, & Retrofit Write Ups (All NEW)
An anonymous donor made three very detailed pdf file contributions to the 1999-2003 Ford Super Duty community today, that thoroughly illustrate (in color photos and diagrams) a method of retrofitting the POWER and SWITCH control circuits to trailer tow mirrors on 1999-2003 Super Duty trucks (particularly the 1999-2000 model years) that may not have come the factory with any type of power outside rear view mirror.
These new write ups can be found in the Tech Folder, in the Electrical section.
ALL LINKS NOW FIXED AND WORKING

I take everyone's word for there being an access issue (although I've tested each link twice and the pdf's downloaded with ease each time).
Let me fiddle around with the ***** and levers for a bit, and I'll see if I can't get to the bottom of what is going on.
I'm fairly certain that it is a moderator vs non moderator issue, relating to where the document is stored on FTE's server.
I'll probably reupload the documents into this thread, and then modify the Tech Folder to retrieve the documents from this thread instead of where they are currently stored.
Thanks for making the issue known.

I found what you referred to as an issue when I first started reworking the 7.3L PSD Tech Folder a couple years ago.
I created a thread to host the files and locked the thread so that only a moderator could edit or contribute to the thread.
I'm not saying this is your path to success, just trying to help out with some lessons I learned a while back.
Link below is to the "7.3L PSD Tech Folder repository" thread.

I finally managed to fix the links.
Hopefully you will find the information presented to be worthy of the wait, and of the effort that the author invested in producing these tutorials.
Retrofitting POWER Trailer Tow Mirrors PROJECT OVERVIEW.pdf
Retrofitting POWER Trailer Tow Mirrors WIRING DIAGRAMS and SWITCH TESTING.pdf
Retrofitting POWER Trailer Tow Mirrors WIRING COLOR CODES and CONNECTORS.pdf
The links to these articles in our tech folder were repointed in the right direction as well.
Thanks for your feedback, and apologies for temporarily sending you off to no man's land.

I've heard vicariously from the anonymous author of the three write ups above, who generously contributed an insanely detailed write up that surpasses almost every write up I have seen or written on a truck forum.
Even if you have no need to work on your outside rear view mirrors, I encourage you to take a peek at the incredible detail contained in these write ups, just for a good example of how real write up is done.
I again apologize for the hang up in the attachments, but everything has been tested good now.
