NAVIKS Video/Audio Interface Unit
They have out on the market now their video/audio interface unit for the Super Duty SYNC 4 12" screen.
It allows you to add 4 additional cameras, front, left turn, right turn, trailer or whatever camera you want to connect, plus HDMI input for screen mirroring your phone or to connect any HDMI input device, like a DVD player or FireStick or whatever.
It also unlocks NAV in motion.
It ain't cheap, $550, but does a lot it looks like.
I originally offered to do beta testing for them, but was too far away, they needed to be able to have my truck in their shop, so couldn't make that work.

Would be great to mirror my phone screen, and not just the maps over android auto, and also have all the video inputs for whatever else I want to see on the screen.
And, get rid of the motion lockout for the nav.

Howdy,
I've installed the Naviks camera interface on my 2022 F550. Most everything is working. The HDMI interface works from a laptop that has an HDMI out (HDMI to HDMI). So that's cool.
But in order to run off my phone (galaxy s22+), I purchased a USB-C to HDMI adapter. It doesn't work, and I suspect the adapter isn't capable. Has anyone had success with a USB-C to HDMI adapter on android or apple or an MS surface or similar? If so, what brand is it? Thanks!

So I have a 22 F250 with only a backup camera (don’t judge that, I didn’t get the 360 camera package. Someone else backed out on the order). Would I be able to add a front camera and toggle to the camera easy enough? Would love some additional feedback on how that is working for you. I’m basically interested in the camera and possibly playing movies on the screen. Did you need to deal with forscan to flash anything?
And, there should be no body module reprogramming needed.
Looks like Ltngdrvr beat me to it on a response, and I agree with his comments.
Having just finished a naviks install on my 550, I wrote up a more detailed response (maybe more that you want to read)
My 2022 F550 Naviks video system provides 4 camera inputs and an HDMI input.
Q: Would I be able to add a front camera and toggle to the camera easy enough?
A: Yes, one of the four camera inputs can be a front-mounted camera.
Q: Did you need to deal with forscan to flash anything?
A: No, I'd say that naviks co-exists with the existing sync4 configuration. No changes to the existing system are required.
Additional feedback:
- Naviks nominal operating scenario is to display camera input from front/rear/left/right on your sync4 display. There are various setup options via the naviks setup interface. basic capabilities are described here:
- It can auto-display the left camera when you activate your left-turn signal, and right camera when you activate your right turn signal.
- You can cycle through your four cameras (and HDMI input) by pressing a naviks provided switch. I've replaced the naviks switch with a previously unused dash switch. One of the steering wheel switches can be used for this as well (although that didn't seem to work on my 550).
- You can select individual cameras by applying 12V to one of 4 camera select lines. I've connected the front and rear cameras for selection using 2 of my upfitter switches,
- Also, you can use your factory backup camera as-is (if you have one), and still use your own rear camera. The factory backup camera will activate when you're in reverse, and you can select the rear camera for viewing any time you want.
- Cameras must be purchased separately. Lots to choose from. It must be of CVBS type (not AHD). I'm using the GreenYi 202, available on Amazon for about $30. Search for ("HD Backup/Front/Side View Camera, GreenYi AHD 720P Reverse Rear Cam for Car, SUV, RV, Trailer, Camper, Van, Pickup, Metal Shell, Adjustable Fisheye Lens, 170 Degrees Viewing Angle(Black)"). IMO Green Yi has a really good price/quality balance.
- Basic installation (on an F150) is described here:
.
- I've attached the installation guide pdf.
- I found the naviks installation documentation to be limited. But their phone support is excellent. Inside their operating hours, they picked up for me instantly, and I'd guess I was speaking with one of the dudes who designed the device.
- I did a no-rattle installation, securing all of the components, wrapping and securing all the wires, taking care to allow for airflow, etc.. This took me a long time. I'm handy, but not a pro. If you're the same, and you want to to do a no-rattle installation, figure on 8-12 hours.
- I purchased mine from camerasource.com. You can also get it directly from naviks.com. I'd recommend that you speak with someone (wherever you decide to buy it from) in order to verify you're getting the right stuff for your 2022 F250.
- Naviks is expensive and may be overkill if you just want one camera input. I spent about $600 for the naviks stuff (ouch!). That being said, I'm not sure that any other product (other than ford OEM) provides such a high level of integration. And I'm not sure anyone provides the HDMI input.
- The HDMI works for me if my source is a windows tablet with HDMI out. You must use an interface if you want to output from apple or android phones. I'm still working on that part. So far, I'm able to get the video to play on my 12" sync4 screen, but no audio yet. I suspect this is an interface issue rather than a naviks issue.
- Watching videos while driving can be dangerous and may be illegal depending on where you are

Do you recall how you did this wiring to the upfitter switches to select each camera individually? I'm assuming you added length to the 4 power wires as well as the 4 other wires coming from the NAVIKS unit labeled with each camera and ran them to the upfitter wires under the hood? And also that you brought the yellow plugs from each camera to connect with the yellow plugs from the NAVIKS unit? When an upfitter switch for a given camera is switched on, I'm assuming that camera shows on the screen, but then do you have to turn that switch off before turning on the switch for another camera, or does turning on a second switch override the first and shows the desired camera view? Did you have to change anything in the settings using the IR remote to be able to use switches? I don't have upfitter switches in my rig and so will be using a different switch panel. I'd rather have the switch functionality to pick a camera rather than toggle through them all, including HDMI, to get to the camera I want in a given moment. Thank you.
