Tilt wheel problems 79f150
Hey guys, new guy here . Well to start I have a 79 f150 ranger Jade green with a 460 c6 . I've had it for 22 years and just found out that it has a tilt wheel, problem is the clips that hold the tilt bale are broken.Does anyone know where I can get them? Thanks

Thanks for the info, just one on the bottom is broken everything else is fine, when you push the bale it lifts up and won't engage the release. Guess I'll have to hit the junkyard and try to find one unless someone on here has the clips that they can part with. Thanks again for the info

Pretty sure that is going to be a very hard to locate part, same for finding a JY with a tilt wheel that is in good shape. A lot of tilt wheels get uses as a grab handle and get worn out or loose/broken or people do not take the spring tension off (hold the steering wheel) before hitting the release lever.

You may find the part in any of the Ford cars with tilt before the wiper switch in column style. to be the same. I used some parts from an 80's truck in my 78 Bronco tilt and the adjustment tooth part broke from PO using wheel for grab handle.
