As much as I hate to say it, I have now joined the "club" and had the DS rear tire blow out and the resulting tire tore off the TPMS sensor of the front tire too so it lost air pressure from the valve stem being broken off. When I purchased the TPMS system and had steel valve stems installed in the factory wheels it put the sensors outside the wheels due to the valve stems being pointed outward. Being I need two spares I decided to call Les schwab Tire in Everett as they were only 6 miles from me. Told them I needed 4 new tires and road service on two of them. They offered me a set of 10 ply Tow Max tires but after having a Tow Max tire blow out I turned them down. They then said I could go with the Sailun LRG/14PLY Tires and I decided I would go that route.
Interesting that I recently installed the TST 507 TPMS system and being the first trip out with it operational I was watching the monitor pretty often. Just before the blowout I saw 85-88psi and 92*-96*F temps on the trailer tires. We had been cruising at 62-65mph for previous 2 hours with a stop at a rest stop just 20 minutes before the Power King Towmax ST 235/85R16 blew out and did a lot of damage to sheet metel and plastic wheel well trim as well. Feel better about now running Sailun S637T ST235/85R16 G/14PLY Tires @ 90PSI.
Side note: Les Schwab service was beyond exceptional, from the time I blew out tire (11:45am), service truck with two men arrived ( 12:20pm) changed two tires along side the road ( 25 minutes} and I followed them to their shop for two more tires installed (30 minutes) till I was back on the road at 2:15pm.
Sucks to see that damage, but it sounds like you had some excellent road service there! Hopefully the new Sailuns will serve you well for several years, I’ve had mine for about 5 years now with plenty of trouble free miles on them. Are the date codes on the Sailuns pretty recent?
While it sucks to have a blowout, your experience after the fact is the rv equivalent of a NASCAR pit stop. Fast road service, tires in stock and back on the road in 2 1/2 hrs. It took that long the last time I had to get a new tire and we carried the tire in.
As mentioned above, you should be very happy with the Sailun tires. In addition, 2.5 hours after a two tire blowout you were back on the road... That is a good day in my opinion.
Sh|t happens, how we recover and learn from that storm is what sets us apart.

That was exactly what I told the two young guys that did the work plus tipped them well.

They suggested I carry 90psi in them as my trailer isn't as heavy or requires a LRG tire. I was very pleased with Les Schwab service in this particular case.
Did they balance the tires? I've had at least two occasions where new tires were bought and they didn't balance them. Apparently some tire technicians are under the mistaken belief that trailer tires don't need to be balanced.

Not balancing trailer tires is the “ industry standard”, I’ve always had to ask for it to be done as all the shops that I’ve used typically don’t balance trailer tires.

If I wasn't getting charged for balancing I could see why they wouldn't do it. But right there on the invoice is "mounting and balancing".
I agree on the trailer tire balancing, both that it needs to be done and that a lot of places don't think it needs it. I've gotten the funny look many times asking for trailer tires to be balanced. I usually give them my own funny look back.
Also has to be said: I've just about always had exceptional experiences with Les Schwab. One of the few downsides to my most recent move was moving out of their territory.
