Does anyone have a diagram for plumbing brakes?
my set up is a frame mounted m/c and 4 wheel disk brakes.
I have an adjustable proportioning valve and then check valves ( I think I have 3 because I wasn’t sure if disk-disk or disk-drum when I bought it all )
out of the m/c I wasn’t sure what went first…….
None taken.
I bought my set up YEARS ago. The plumbing is not a problem. Knowing the exact part placement and what’s first is. There are lots of trucks running these set ups so I am just looking at how others did it-
i thought I remembered lines (2) out of m/c to the proportioning valve and then 1 out to back with the line check and 1 to the front with the line check in it-
Ok. First off on a frame mounted M/C's residual pressure valves are not always needed and they are easy to add if you actually need them. Disc only need a couple pounds of pressure to keep the pads near the disc. But if you do run them I would place them near the M/C but after the proportioning valve. There are several styles of proportioning valves so depending on your style, it makes a difference on where I would suggest placing it.
i forget the m/c booster kit i bought but i think it is based off a corvette m/c
i believe the line furthest from the booster (towards the rear of the truck is for the front brakes and the outlet towards the front of the truck is the rear?
i am headed to the truck for some wrench time tomorrow-
i am looking for the pages (receipts) to see what the m/c is- i think it was classic industries something (not just classic industries) but i cant remember-
i know the instructions were just for the bracket and install but not plumbing.... but i think it had a part # on the m/c and what it was based off of
it is just facing backwards based of of a firewall mounted setup so i need to figure out what the compartments (ports) are from front and back to plumb-
