The front disc brakes on my 55 are getting hot. I put over 1000 miles on it last year with no problems but when I got it out this year I noticed a vibration that was new. After a few miles of driving the truck would shake or bounce terrible. It seamed to be from the rear brakes getting hot. So I adjusted my proportioning to use less rear brake. Now the front is hot enough to tighten the wheel up to where you can't turn it by hand untill it cools off. do any of you have a trick to adjusting an adjustable proportioning valve other than trail and error? Truck sets too low to jack up easily and I mounted the valve inside the frame rail like an idiot.
Thanks
I believe it may be your flexible brake line is collapsed. Try cracking open the bleeder and see if the caliper releases. If it does than you have something upstream keeping the fluid from returning to the MC. If it does not than the issue is the caliper. There is one other thing to check, see if it frees up by turning the proportioning valve.
