I'm looking for confirmation of what I assume to be leaking capacitors in a PCM that I have. I have a 1994 Ford F150 5.8L V8 E4OD Automatic. It's been in the shop for a while and one of the mechanics got ahold of a second PCM (or ECU not sure what acronym is correct) to help troubleshoot a stalling issue. I took a look at the circuit board and noticed that two of the capacitors are leaking. I'm going to assume this is bad enough to require repair? Are there services out there that will repair these circuit boards? Is this something better off done myself (given no experience)? Thanks for any input.
Looks like they have leaked out, if you can do without truck a while, 2 options.
You have a electronics repair shop, near by, they could replace them, or -->Ford ECM Repair and Return | SIA Electronics
3rd option is buy from chain parts store near home, then swap out, old for new, then repair, or send back for core charge.
