I worked at Borgwarner and know about issues

I pompously made this acct after thinking about my time spent as a shift lead at Borgwarner in seneca sc from 2017 to oct 2019. For the most part we tried making quality transfer cases and 40% of the reat of the time we spent covering up issues and cutting corners. You guys would be hesitant on buying transfer cases if you knew what went on behind the curtains. Reusing damaged parts like dropped clutch packs, missing thrust washers and bearings, Bad seals, bad caulking, metal shavings even dropped and clearly damaged shift motors ect. Some cases would test bad at all 3 test stations and would get a new "vin sticker" and sent back through the test stands until it read good without any inspection at all. Just to reach numbers. Especially around the begin of 2019 when we swapped from the shiny chrome drain plugs to the non chrome rough style plugs, on the Ford models. This was all 3 models Ford Dodge and Toyota. Things might be different now after the plant rebuild when the tornado took out the plant. From what I hear after I left as a Shift lead on my line is that things got much much worse. If you have any questions just ask or send me a message. If I miss something its because I'm new to this forum.
