i always stuck with whatever ford put in the engines. idi got green with sca, the 2000, 2002 and 2004 got gold.
but the big truck shop has 55 gallon drums of red, so i started using that around 8 years ago.
i figured at 400,000+ miles the 88 was past the damage done stage.
it now has 496,000 miles on it and still purrs.
