After reading his profile, I'd say he's posting the truck up for auction, the website says minimum bid is $22,400.00 so it's almost at it's max value, not really a deal if it goes higher than $24K...But other people think differently, so, let them have at it.
It's a year older than mine, and not the XLT. Mine has a little more than 275k more miles, but with that current proce of almost $29k, it's got me thinking I need to auction mine! The used truck prices are nuts these days.

I’ve had offers for 22-23k when filling up my 99 f250. Next time I may just sell it
Wow...prices are nuts, to bad my 03 F350 has rusted door bottoms a rusted out cab corners, I only have 137K on mine. I'd chase someone down the street for half of those prices...lol

well mine is damn near pristine and 189,000 and the most off road it’s seen is a hard pack dirt road to a camping or fishing spot. You can eat off the bottom. And it’s a rare color. No accidents and have maintenance and repair receipts. I just rebuilt the whole front axle and put new tires on it two years ago. I drive it about 800 miles a year now. If that much. So it’s on the higher end of the spectrum.
The catch is that it’s barely used as far as miles but issue is that everything is still 20 plus years old. Which means all the rubber that hasn’t been replaced is 20 years old. I would want to see the maintenance records especially if it’s that low a mile and it’s been sitting
And the problems with the 7.3 are going to show up- HPFP, injector cups, up pipes, etc etc etc, after spending $28-30 for this thing, then you get a chance to spend more to keep it running!!!
just saying

Unless it’s just been idled around and left with 5e AC on for 10-14 hours (our firefighters leave their vehicles running on calls so they have a ton of idle hours.) youre not gonna have many issues.
This thing doesn’t look like it was used for anything mkre than grabbing the Fire Chief his lunch on the way to see the fire..I believe whoever buys this is buying this is probably gonna keep it as a collector item not a let’s put it to work work truck.. It’s gonna sit in someone’s collection as a fire service truck. Maybe pulled out for a parade or some sort of celebration. Or a fun weekend truck type. But who knows. It is a base model XL. The truck has a lot going for it is no rust low miles and 4x and 7.3. Som people don’t care about the power accessories stuff and prefer the base XL.
