I'm going Straight..............Again

With my new Blue Top steering box.

I know you guys probably thought I fell off the face of the earth but it's been a rough year +. Lost the mother-in-law, sister-in_law (covid which caused double pneumonia aggravated by COPD), Bro-in-law moved in with us, oldest daughter finally left loser son-in-law and moved herself and the grandkids back to Georgia. All that means life has been hectic and some things have been put on the back burner.

Much like my time on FTE with the brotherhood my truck hasn't gotten much love either.

Today I gave her a treat though

I didn't realize how sloppy the steering had become, I was just used to it but Bro-in-law jumped in the other day and we started going down the road in a snake pattern. He said good grief, it's time to fix this.

I ordered it that day and we put it in today.

And BABY DOES IT DRIVE STRAIGHT.

Can't wait to tow the tractor to deer camp, guessing it will be a lot less work

The swap out went pretty smooth thanks to the write ups on FTE to follow. Thought I had a puller large enough to do the job of pulling the Pitman arm but not so. Ran down to a local Tire/alignment shop that has always been good to work with and they popped it off for me. System bleed and flush afterward went well. I was dreading it because of the horrible time Sous and I had with his. It's also a much more pleasant job when the box hasn't blown up and sprayed everything with a coating of ATF.

Paul, good to see your on the straight and narrow path now. I owed you a hand with the steering gear, but am grateful you got it sorted out.

You can enjoy the drive now instead of spending all that energy keeping it on the road.

Kate and I are here if you think we can help in any way Paul.

Much appreciated Brother. I had a pretty good idea what to expect after our little adventure and although Bro-in-law only has one working arm after the stroke he still dives in and helps.

As far as life beating us up, well this is satans world and he's never going to let up but we know who wins in the end. Our faith reminds us we will see the love ones again, soon. It helps knowing this is a temporary home and and it will never be perfect. Enjoy the good, endure the bad, and keep the faith.

It's also very good to know that if I get to a place and need someone to talk with you and Kate are there.
