I have a 1991 f150 with 5.8 Windsor and an automatic transmission and a Dakota lithium 60+ 1000 cca
So I got home after it gave me some trouble starting in town got home, the next day I tried to start it and I heard the relays buzzing under the hood, I replaced all 3 relays I have no lights outside or inside the cab the only thing I have is the buzzer and it quits when I move to the run position.
I would start by removing the battery cables from the battery posts and clean the outside of the battery posts and the inside of the cables where they hook to the battery posts and then make sure they tighten up properly. Also make sure the bolt is tight where the positive battery cable and the other wires hook to the solenoid. Also check the other end of the negative battery cable where it hooks.
The lithium battery is the first thing that I would check. Lithium batteries have their own charge controllers that protect the battery from over-charging or over-discharging. Can you throw a regular battery in it and see if it solves your problem?
So I swapped out to the old lead battery it turns over but now my fuel pumps won't turn on and it's a new relay and fuse, I got the lithium batteries in mid June, makes me wonder if I have a short draining batteries as well and thank you everyone for the help
If your fuel pump isn't turning on, ie you don't hear it for a second when you turn the key on, it won't start. But you should get a slight response from it with the starting fluid if the ignition is working properly. You may need to do some more troubleshooting.
Thank you for the input I ended up trying starting fluid no signs of trying to start so I took apart the distributor cap and rotor the rotor was toast so I ordered a distributor cap and rotor both motorcraft and 8 e3 spark plugs it should arrive Friday so I'll have an update this weekend. Hopefully my fuel line is just full and that's why I don't notice the pump
I'm back so I've got a new ignition coil and whole brand new distributor in the truck still no spark any ideas I appreciate the help I apologize for taking so long to get back
Did your new distributor come with the ignition module on the side of it? Do you have power up to the coil through one of the small wires that hooks onto the coil with the ignition switch turned on?

Yes it did I believe I did the other day I will first thing tomorrow morning and post and let you know and again thanks for the help
You can remove the spout and see if you get spark, ideally from a spark tester. If you do, the PCM is suspect. I don't think this is the fix but it is easy and gets the PCM out of the loop and maybe it will in fact work.

Cool I'll try not to stay up too late and check that in the morning before it turns into an oven lol
